Visit the World Heritage Site

The radio station and the visitor's centre are open daily during the summer and guided tours are offered in Swedish and English. At other times, the facility is open on special occasions and for groups with reservations.

The visitor's centre serves as the entrance to the world heritage site. Here visitors can buy entry tickets to the site, receive information about the facility and view both a film about Grimeton Radio Station and an exhibition on communications. The station also houses a café and gift shop.

The facility and surrounding area have been adapted for access by prams, wheelchairs and walkers.

World Heritage Grimeton is completely self-financed and therefore cannot keep the visitor's centre open year-round. The station building, however, is open to the public whenever staff are on duty. Admission is then free, but the world heritage site gratefully accepts donations. These can be made on site or by bank giro deposit to account 5357-7243.

World Heritage Grimeton is a living cultural treasure and it may be operating at any time, so it is extremely important that visitors respect access restrictions and prohibition signs.
